Seattle Restaurant Week
Website

GOAL

I was tasked with redesigning the Seattle Restaurant Week website with a focus on responsiveness and new features.

ROLE

I was the lead designer, responsible for the entire website design; from user flow, through wireframing and iteration, to final visual design.

Identifying the key redesign goals
1

Design a search and filter feature that allows users to find new restaurants easily

2

Create a restaurant page where the user can view the menu, location, and reserve a table

Visual design

The hero area of the homepage gives the user information about the Seattle Restaurant Week event at a glance. The restaurant search and filter was placed below this, but above the fold so users could quickly find participating restaurants.

The redesign was very successful with the Lead Project Manager for the redesign reporting:

“Overall, the SRW site had over 1.25 million visitors this spring, a huge thanks to you for spending countless hours on this. We had zero consumer complaints about website functionality – this freed us up substantially to focus on social and other marketing tactics. Thank you for all you did to make this a major success. The site is beautiful.”

— Kelsey Oran, Lead Project Manager
